Blog Entry 8: Holiday

Today I'd like to talking about holiday. My favorite holiday is New year. In Taiwan we have two different new years to celebrate. The first is the traditional New Year, we often have a week holiday.
This is also the most important for Taiwan. In this day all the shops and government units are close.
People always use these holidays with their families to dinner together. That meal is some delicious ingredients. For example lobster ,oysters and crabs. And use the party time to the children a small gift. Children are always looking forward to this time of year because everyone can get a lot of cash in this time. Also the family will take long holiday tour in this weekend. sightseeing spots are always long lines.

The second New year is January 1, In this day people will go to New Year's Eve party to meet the new year. Every city in my country has a fireworks display. People greet each other and celebrate when the New Year comes.When the event ended,people moved to the government before the flag-raising ceremony.

Blog Entry 7: Marriage Traditions

In Taiwan, when you are pregnant on the day of marriage. You must hold the black umbrella. In contrast if you not pregnant just hold red umbrella in you marriage day. This  history of this tradition is very long in Taiwan. Unmarried pregnancies are not encouraged in my country, because when you are unmarried it means you are not ready for you future. But in the 21st century the immediate significance of the change. When the bride supports the black umbrella on behalf of you to be more careful. Because she is pregnant.  However,if you see the bride hold black umbrella, you'd better stay away from that.

Blog Entry 6: Opinion

       I like to watching Discovery channel in my free time. Actually, I like to study new knowledge in my life. When I was saw my first time Discovery channel, I was very exciting and amazing . The channel was talk about how can I make product. Also I'm full of curiosity about new thing. Two weeks ago, the channel introduction Toronto , how was a big city in Canada. The channel say long time ago, Toronto is a glacier city. The surface of Toronto rises at an annual rate of 5 millimeters; however the waterfall in Nicaragua will disappear after a few hundred years. The city government of Toronto began to prevent the incident and began construction of the underground city project. Watching channel taught me the importance of environmental protection.

Blog Entry 4: Travel

I would like to introduce my country Taiwan. In my country you can experience the obvious seasons change. Taiwan has a tropical and subtropical season. You can enjoy the warm sun and snow in highest mountains. The Taipei is Taiwan capital, how is a busy city. For Taiwan it is a business and political center. Taipei is a basin, so people always to climb the Yangmingshan mountain in the weekend. You can enjoy a relaxing holiday in the cafe store. When the evening comes , Taipei present the other side. Taiwan night market is a tradition and characteristics of Taiwan. You can try different food in Shilin night market. The price will make your feel affordable. Let's go Taiwan, enjoy Taiwan food.

Blog Entry 4: Languages

My first language is Chinese, I also can speak English too. I will be able to learn Japanese in my free times. I'm interested because Taiwan is close to Japan, It's only there hours to fly. Some culture are  similar such as bow I can understand some Japanese etiquette. Many years ago Japan once ruled Taiwan. we usually have same word and traditional habits. First, when the world is republic . Learning another languages is very important and helpful in your life. And I want to be able to make friends. I also want to understand Japanese proverbs more deeply. However, I know that a lot of Japanese can speak English, but they are very shy. When I visited to Tokyo and go store to buy souvenir for my family, the clerk speak Japanese before I tell them I can't understand Japanese. The clerk continued to speak , I am confused. Finally, I think use same languages to talk is very easy to understand. I should study hard before I travel to Japan.

Blog Entry 3:Money

If I won $10 million in the lottery. In fact,I want to have my island in Canada. First, I can name this island John's island.Actually,the island have a big house,almost 8000 square foot and infinity pool is very luxury and clean. At night you can see the aurora every day. Are you afraid of the cold? Don't be afraid the island will always be spring. Also,it's has a restaurant with international cuisine,you can enjoy different culture with different countries. Such as,sushi and sashimi. Moreover,we have airplane and airport If you come from all over the world,you can ride for free. Finally ,I hope this dream is true. But it didn't. I will continue to buy the lottery until I win.

Blog Entry 2: Crime

I live in Taiwan 20 years ago, I would say Calgary is more safety than another countries.
There are many social problems in Taiwan such as fraud. There are two ways that the fraudster can trick people. First, they normally use phone call to trick people. For example, the fraudsters will tell you that you have won a lottery, but you have to pay the money first in order to receive the money from them. Lots of people think that they really win the lottery, therefore, they will follow the steps that the fraudsters said and send the money to them. Once people have sent the money to fraudsters and call back the numbers, people realize that they got tricked by fraudsters because there will not be anyone to answer the phone.

Moreover, fraudsters can also cheat people by using mails. They write fake letters to pretend that the letters are from government, court, or bank saying that people have several payments that have not paid, and ask people to pay the payments by following the procedures. When people see letters from government, they automatically think that the letters are real and not doing any process to confirm it. After people follow the procedures on the letters, the fraudsters will get the money and disappear. Several days later, people will find out that they got tricked by the fraudsters by calling back to the government. Therefore, I think that Calgary is much safer than Taiwan.
